The Support and Care business area in Valdemarsvik Municipality has approximately 310 employees working within social services, elderly care, healthcare, and support for people with disabilities. Our mission is comprehensive and is an important part of the public services we wish to provide to our residents.

To the home care service in Gryt, we are now seeking a competent and engaged colleague who wants to be part of our operations. The position is a fixed-term contract (vacancy).

Job Responsibilities

As an employee in home care, you contribute to creating a secure everyday life for our users.

With good treatment, high service standards, and professionalism, you perform assessed interventions based on the implementation plan.

The role requires significant personal responsibility, and duties include, among other things, personal care, shopping, laundry, cleaning, and social documentation.

Qualifications

• Trained as an assistant nurse (undersköterska), preferably with a specialization in dementia, elderly care, or welfare technology.
• Previous experience working in home care is considered an advantage.

A prerequisite for working with us is that you have a Category B driver's license and are an experienced driver in all weather conditions.

We require that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish, as the work involves many contact points and documentation. We assume you are computer literate and preferably have experience with social documentation in the Lifecare system.

We appreciate that you contribute positively to operational development and have the ability to work in a goal-oriented manner.

To be employed in the role of assistant nurse, you must attach proof of the protected professional title to your application, or alternatively, a certificate from your current employer confirming that you held a permanent position as an assistant nurse as of July 1, 2023.

Employment Terms

• Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 3-6 months.
• Start Date: According to agreement.
• End Date: 2026-12-31.

To be considered for the current employment in Valdemarsvik Municipality, an extract from the police criminal record must be presented. You will need to show your extract if offered a position.

Depending on the needs of the operation, part of the working time may be located at another workplace within the business area.
