The Care and Social Services Department is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health care, authority functions, commissioning of services, and provides care and social services in-house. Your responsibilities

At our workplace, we encourage development! Since two of our employees are going to undergo further education, we are now looking for two driven colleagues for a one-year fixed-term position. Do you want to become part of our team?

As a care assistant or assistant nurse at Hjälmsäter Home Care, you work closely with clients in their homes, providing support and care based on individual needs according to IBIC. The day starts together with colleagues with reporting and planning, after which you work according to your planned route.

The work consists of personal care, service tasks, and medical tasks delegated to you. You are attentive to changes in clients' health conditions and engage in dialogue with colleagues if adjustments to the plan are needed. No two days are alike, which requires flexibility and the ability to meet different needs in daily life.

The work often involves you working independently in the client's home. At the same time, there is always support from colleagues, coordinators, and managers. The mobile phone is an important work tool and is used, among other things, for planning, documentation, and keyless home care.

Your workplace

Hjälmsäter Home Care has its staff base at Hjälmsätersgatan 12, in a residential area with good bus connections and about a 15–20 minute walk from Linköping city center.

The operation provides only home care services. The area is large but clearly defined, and the work takes place in fixed routes within a limited part of the area. This creates continuity for clients and good opportunities to build relationships and notice changes at an early stage. Currently, the operation is in a development phase and has expanded with approximately 700 new home care hours, which means the work group has been expanded with more engaged employees. With us, you have the opportunity to be part of a growing operation where your work makes a big difference for both clients and colleagues.

You will become part of an experienced and stable work group with 25 colleagues of mixed ages. The work group is described as supportive and close-knit, and there is good experience in introducing new employees.

The introduction is structured and includes both digital modules and several introduction sessions together with an experienced supervisor. The delegation process is also an important part of the introduction.

You who apply

We are looking for you who have a completed upper secondary education. It is meritorious if you are trained as an assistant nurse. It is also meritorious if you have experience working in care, support, and social services.

You communicate clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing, have good computer skills, and can cycle as the work takes place within a larger geographical area.

To thrive in the role, you need to be self-reliant and take responsibility for your tasks. You collaborate well with others and contribute to a good work climate. You have an empathetic ability and can put yourself in the clients' situation and needs. At the same time, you are clear in your communication and ensure that information reaches both clients and colleagues.
