The Technical and Property Administration is responsible for Botkyrka Municipality's public buildings and the general water and sewerage (VA) facilities. We develop and manage the municipality's properties, as well as plan and implement investments in both new and existing properties and VA facilities to meet the municipality's long-term needs. The administration is also responsible for property operations, land services, local care, transport, and vehicle services. With approximately 300 employees, we work for sustainable solutions and a well-functioning public service.

The Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Project Manager within Water and Sewerage (VA) who wants to lead socially important projects and contribute to sustainable development in Botkyrka Municipality. In this role, you are responsible for planning, leading, and executing VA projects throughout the entire project process, from investigation and design to the completed facility and handover to operation and maintenance.

You lead complex and socially important VA projects that contribute to sustainable development and long-term secure water and sewage supply for the residents of Botkyrka. You work in close collaboration with colleagues, consultants, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders. The role also involves contributing VA expertise to the municipality's detailed planning processes, as well as land and development projects, to ensure future solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Plan, lead, and follow up on VA projects from investigation to completion.
• Be responsible for the project schedule, budget, and quality.
• Lead design and procurement of consultants and contractors in accordance with the Public Procurement Act (LOU).
• Coordinate and follow up on the various actors in the project throughout the implementation.
• Be responsible for project documentation, occupational health and safety issues, and risk management.
• Prepare decision materials and service statements for political boards.

You drive projects through the entire project process and have overall responsibility for the implementation of the projects, from investigation and design to the completed facility and handover. The role gives you great opportunities to influence how future VA solutions are developed and implemented in Botkyrka Municipality.

What We Offer You

You will become part of the project operations, which consists of approximately 20 employees with competence in property and VA projects. Together, you are responsible for the municipality's investment projects with an annual project budget of approximately 1.1 billion SEK. You Who Apply to Us

You have a university or civil engineering degree in civil engineering, road and water, environmental technology, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have several years of experience independently leading complex VA or construction projects throughout the entire project process, from investigation and design to procurement, implementation, and handover to operation and maintenance, with responsibility for time, economy, and quality.

Other Requirements

• Experience in conducting or participating in procurements according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU) or the Procurement Act within the Supply Sector (LUF).
• Experience in applying contract law and standard agreements AB, ABT, and ABK in projects.
• Experience in preparing or reviewing system documents and construction documents.
• Experience in financial management and follow-up of project budgets.
• Experience in coordinating work between consultants, contractors, authorities, and other actors within projects.
• Experience working in Microsoft 365, such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Category B driver's license.

We consider it meritorious if you have:

• Experience in project management within public operations.
• Experience in land and development projects.
• Experience with AMA Construction.

As a project manager, you are responsible for driving several complex VA projects through the entire project process – from investigation and design to the completed facility. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to plan, prioritize, and create structure in your work while driving the projects forward with a focus on quality, schedule, and economy.

The role involves many contact surfaces and close collaboration with colleagues, consultants, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders. Therefore, it is important that you are good at building trusting relationships and enjoy collaborating to find solutions and create progress in the projects.
