Do you love food and are you ready for a career where people come first? At City Gross, everything we do is about helping and inspiring our customers to have a better everyday life. Our hearts beat a little extra for fresh food, and we believe in people. We believe we become better when we have different backgrounds and experiences. Whether you are fronting freshly harvested vegetables, cutting the perfect piece of meat, ensuring the shelves are always well-stocked, or running campaigns that meet our customers' needs, everyone is here for one reason: to create an amazing customer experience.
About the job
Position type: Permanent position, 30 hours per week, probationary period applies.
Start date: 2026-08-17 or by agreement.
Working hours: Early morning, daytime, late evening, and weekends occur as a natural part of the work.
We welcome applicants of all ages, but due to the Working Environment Act, you must be at least 18 years old to work in the front-of-house area.
You put the finishing touches on the customer experience
You have the chance to leave the final impression on our customers' visits, which is why you have an important role in making the customer experience smooth and pleasant. This might mean a friendly smile, an unexpected question, or a helpful attitude, so that the customer finds their way in the store. You ensure that the customer leaves happy – preferably with an extra item in the basket and a good feeling!
What will you do?
Every day brings new meetings and challenges, but some of your main tasks are:
- Ensure that daily operations in the checkout line and front-of-house run smoothly by leading and distributing work.
- Be a role model in customer interactions and inspire colleagues so that our customers leave the store with the feeling of a world-class customer meeting.
- Together with the Sales Manager, be responsible for planning, following up on, and developing work in the department.
- Work on coordinating resources and ensuring that competence is used effectively to achieve set goals and manage daily staffing planning.
- Work in the cash register and front-of-house, including gaming sales and service matters.
- Collaborate with colleagues throughout the store – we are a team and help out where needed!
You report to the Cash Sales Manager, who has personnel responsibility for the department.
Who are you?
You are a natural problem solver who likes speed and action. A friendly "hello" and a desire to inspire and develop other people are second nature to you. Do you have a great interest in food and selling goods? Super! Do you have prior leadership experience – even better!
We believe that you:
- Have a high school education and master Swedish in speech and writing. Since our customers speak more languages than that, it is fantastic if you do too.
- Have a couple of years of previous experience from working in a store in the area of Cash/Front-of-house.
- Have previous experience working with ATG and Svenska Spel.
- Have previous experience in leadership, store economics, and cash reporting, which is meritorious.
- Love meeting customers and believe that service should be genuine and engaged.
What do you get?
- Secure conditions – We have collective agreements with Handels and Unionen.
- Affordable food box – You get employee discounts on everything from luxurious weekend dinners to quick weekday saviors.
- Parental leave with extra security – We offer enhanced parental benefits according to the collective agreement so that you can enjoy your new family member a little extra.
- A healthier and more energetic body and mind – We care about your health and offer wellness benefits, so you can stay active in the way that suits you best.
- Real career opportunities – Here you have the chance to grow! Many of our store managers started exactly where you are now.
