Your Responsibilities

We are expanding our team at Nykil Home Care! Are you the one we are looking for?

Within home care, you provide support and care directly in people's homes. Here you have the opportunity to truly make a difference and become a crucial part of someone's life, every day. You encounter a wide variety of needs and challenges, making the work both varied and rewarding.

Your tasks are varied and based on each individual's needs. This includes nursing care and personal hygiene, cleaning, laundry, simple meal preparation, and social interaction. The job also involves certain delegated medical tasks from the nurse. The mobile phone is your primary work tool, showing your visits and what needs to be done. You also have contact with relatives and other stakeholders. Your commitment helps more people continue living an independent life in their own homes.

Your Workplace

In April 2026, Linköping Municipality took over responsibility for home care and sheltered housing in Nykil. Here you will be involved in developing and shaping the operations forward.

Nykil Sheltered Housing offers 24 apartments. Home care is provided in the sheltered housing as well as in the countryside around Nykil. Here you travel through the beautiful Östergötland countryside and contribute to supporting our residents in their daily lives.

Currently, 22 assistant nurses and care assistants work with us. We see a need to expand the group to 28 colleagues to best meet the existing needs. Planners, coordinators, and the operations manager also work here. The operation also has access to district nurses as well as physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

Your working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend. Typical working hours are 07:00-16:00 and 13:00-22:00.

Who You Are

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse and have previous work experience in the form of practice or work within care and social services. Alternatively, you have a complete upper secondary education and previous work experience within care and social services.

Work in elderly care involves much contact with users and documentation, which means that it is a requirement that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish.

You have good computer skills and the ability to use digital tools in your work. You need to be able to cycle and have a B driving license.

You are self-reliant, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive your work forward. You also work well with other people, listen, and communicate clearly, and have the ability to adapt your way of communicating. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability and can put yourself in others' perspectives and situations. You adapt easily to new circumstances and see opportunities in changes.
