As a nurse at the Defence Health Agency (Försvarshälsan) at the Älvsborg Amphibious Regiment, you will be an important part of a successful team in an agency that is in its early growth phase. Together with competent and engaged colleagues, you will have responsibility, development, and challenges.
About the Unit
Around 1,000 people work within the Swedish Armed Forces at the Gothenburg Garrison. Every year, several hundred conscripts undergo their basic military training here. The Defence Health Agency is the Swedish Armed Forces' internal occupational health service and is located at all garrison sites in the country. We work with health promotion initiatives, working environment, statutory examinations, work-oriented rehabilitation, medical assessments, health and medical care for conscripts, and medical readiness during exercises.
At the Defence Health Agency, we work together in teams consisting of doctors, psychologists, nurses, occupational health and safety engineers, physiotherapists, and medical secretaries.
Main Responsibilities
As a nurse at the Defence Health Agency, you will work with outpatient care including clinical assessments, sampling, vaccinations, hearing tests, checks prior to annual health examinations, and telephone advice. Healthcare may occasionally be provided in the field.
You will work in an organization with varied and independent work, as well as in a team with the rest of the Defence Health Agency staff. Service at other locations may occur, as may irregular working hours. 1.5 hours of physical exercise per week is included in working hours.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- At least five years of current and relevant work experience as a nurse
- Category B driver's license (manual transmission).
Personal Attributes
Great emphasis is placed on whether you have self-drive and enjoy working together with other professional categories. Ability to independently plan, execute, and evaluate the results of performed work and assignments within the operations. Flexibility and good teamwork skills, as well as a willingness to further develop yourself and the operations at the Defence Health Agency, are prerequisites. Great emphasis will also be placed on personal suitability.

Employment type: Fixed-term part-time position, 20 hours/week.
Individual salary setting applies.
Work location: Västra Frölunda, Gothenburg.
Travel and evening/weekend service may occur.
