School Psychologist for Student Health Services in Lindesberg Municipality

The mission of the Student Health Services is to work with the children's learning environment from a preventive and health-promoting perspective. The Student Health Unit is centrally organized with a common manager for psychologists, counselors, and school nurses. You work in the schools in student health teams with the principal, special education teacher, counselor, and school nurse. You represent the psychological profession in the student health services.

Job Responsibilities

The focus of the position is on preventive and promotional work. As a psychologist, you also contribute your knowledge of how we in schools can best support and meet the needs of students who require special support for their psychological, social, and emotional development.

As a school psychologist, you will be part of a team of four licensed psychologists. You will be responsible for a number of schools within the municipality, where you participate regularly in the schools' student health teams. A large part of the work involves collaboration with school staff, guardians, and students to support students in achieving educational goals.

Qualifications

  • You are a licensed psychologist.
  • You have very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • You have an interest in a student health perspective at the individual, group, and organizational levels.
  • You have a Category B driver's license and access to a private car, as travel is required for the position.

You have good skills in structure and planning. You are independent, flexible, and proactive, and enjoy working in teams and in close collaboration with school staff. You have a professional and empathetic approach in your role as a school psychologist. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Experience working as a school psychologist and experience in public sector work are meritorious.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: October 1st or as agreed.
