We are looking for you who are an aircraft mechanic or flight technician and want to work with our unique operations where you will develop within target drones and unmanned vehicles. Do you want to work on qualified projects aimed at contributing to making Sweden and the world safer? We are in an expansion phase and are now strengthening our operations with two new flight technicians. At the test site in Vidsel, which has Europe's largest land-based test area, you will contribute to Sweden's future and total defense.

About the role

In the role of flight technician with us, you will work at a workplace that is completely unique in its design. We have Europe's largest fleet of advanced UAVs and equipment consisting of radar stations, optical systems, and telemetry systems.

As a flight technician, you work focused on our flying target drone systems, where you are responsible for the service, repair, and preparation of the target drone systems within the section. Here you work closely with your colleagues in the hangar, and together you are responsible for preparations, execution of tests, recovery, repair, and salvage of primarily flying objects. You will face new problems and challenges while adhering to the regulations governing flying objects, which implies a certain degree of creativity, although rules and manuals dictate much of the work and process.

The position is located in Vidsel. Travel within the role occurs, both domestic and international.

About you

You are educated as an aircraft mechanic through either upper secondary school or university college. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing, as well as a Class B driver's license.

It is meritorious if you have experience in technical work. It is also an advantage if you have experience working in aviation-related activities or have a flight technician education.

The test area is located in Lapland and comprises a cleared, well-guarded, low-mountain area totaling 1650 km². Here there is more than 60 years of experience in Verification and Validation (V&V) of military systems. The site offers the Swedish Armed Forces and external customers the opportunity to test new weapon materiel, exercise, and verify capabilities.
