About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced interim manager for a client in the public sector in Nyköping. The assignment involves overall responsibility for leading the operations, ensuring continuity in daily work, and contributing to the continued development of the business.
As an interim manager, you are responsible for operations, employees, and the work environment, with a focus on operational leadership, collaboration, and business development. The role involves close collaboration with management and support functions, as well as active work with work environment and rehabilitation issues.
The role includes the following responsibilities:
- Lead the daily work of a unit consisting of approximately 12 employees.
- Build trust and establish confidence within the team during the initial phase of the assignment.
- Gain an understanding of the current structure, working methods, and governance of the operations.
- Handle and follow up on work environment risks.
- Work with work environment and rehabilitation issues.
- Provide ongoing and weekly reporting to the department manager and HR.
- Prioritize the unit's tasks and ensure smooth operations.
- Develop proposals for suitable core staffing based on operational needs.
- Collaborate with the department manager regarding job profiles and recruitment materials for a permanent management solution.
- Act as a support to the operations in leadership and personnel matters.
- Contribute to structure, clarity, and stability in daily work.
- Ensure that operations are conducted according to set goals, priorities, and guidelines.
- Provide a brief written status report after 30 working days and an action plan after 60 days.
Assignment period and scope:
The interim manager position is a full-time consulting assignment starting immediately, expected to last until 2026-12-31, with the possibility of extension.
The work is primarily performed at the agency's premises in Nyköping. Remote work is possible up to one day per week.
Requirements for the role:
- Documented experience of management or clear leadership roles with responsibility for employees, work environment, and prioritization.
- Experience entering unclear or burdened operations and quickly creating structure, decisions, and follow-ups.
- Ability to handle employee issues, performance matters, difficult conversations, and work environment risks within given frameworks.
- Practical experience with SAM (Systematic Work Environment Management), risk assessment, psychosocial work environment, and collaboration with HR/FHV.
- Ability to be on-site in Nyköping at least four days per week.
- Understanding of the agency environment, legal certainty, documentation, and formal decision-making processes.
