Academic Manager for Måsta Äng – Care and Residential Home

Måsta Äng Care and Residential Home is located in Måsta-Slagsta, just outside the town of Eskilstuna, close to nature and residential areas. There are 88 apartments distributed across eight departments. Approximately half of the apartments are adapted for people with dementia.

Responsibilities

You will be part of the academic management group together with colleagues and representatives from Mälardalen University. At the facility, you will collaborate with your fellow managers with the aim of creating a Måsta Äng that benefits both employees and planning and development work.

You are responsible for your staff, working environment, economy, follow-up, development, change management, information, and communication for the operations. In your role, you drive the operations forward to ensure good care and support for our residents, working both strategically and long-term with operational development together with your employees.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a good ability to collaborate and build good relationships. You are a trustworthy leader who dares to challenge and has the ability to bring others along with you. You like to inspire, create involvement, and be brave when needed. You are independent, secure in yourself, and receptive. The demographic development in society places new, high demands on elderly care, and we are looking for a person who enjoys challenges.

You have relevant academic education (180 ECTS/120 credits) or alternatively other education or experience that the employer assesses as equivalent. For example, you have worked in a leading position in another operation with good results. If you have previous experience as a leader where you have worked preventively with systematic work environment work and also worked in some form of leading role within care and support, preferably within a politically governed organization, this is seen as a plus. You are accustomed to using IT in daily work and working digitally.

If you have further developed your education with longer leadership training focusing on personal leadership, this is considered meritorious.
