Main Task: Society

Main Task Society aims to increase residents' quality of life and their ability to influence their living conditions. The Environmental and Food operations are part of this main task and consist of two units responsible for permits and supervision within several legislative areas.

You will become part of the Food and Permits unit, working with ten colleagues who share knowledge and support each other in daily life. We believe in freedom under responsibility, short decision-making paths, and a work climate where ideas are valued. Job Description

The position is primarily focused on food control but also includes some supervision in the tobacco area. In this role, you will combine official authority with advisory services, case processing, and meetings with people. You contribute to ensuring that the food served and sold is safe and that food businesses comply with legislative requirements. You also ensure that regulations for tobacco and nicotine products are followed. At the same time, you help businesses understand the requirements and get it right from the start.

In the role, you will among other things:

• plan and conduct control and supervision visits
• investigate complaints, RASFF notifications, tips received, and deviations
• process applications, notifications, and other official cases
• follow up on violations and, if necessary, make official decisions
• provide advice and guidance to entrepreneurs so they understand and can meet legislative requirements
• collaborate

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• education in food safety, environmental and health protection, or other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• very good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
• Category B driver's license

It is meritorious if you have experience with official authority and public control, preferably in the food or tobacco area, and if you have worked with the case management systems Ecos or AlkT/OL2.
