Your workplace

Here within healthcare administration, area of medical specialties, approximately 55 healthcare administrators work at Karlstad Central Hospital. The healthcare administrative unit serves the operations of the emergency clinic, the cardiology and acute medicine clinic, the infectious disease clinic, the medicine clinic, the nephrology clinic, and the oncology clinic. We have broad expertise within a large number of specialties with good opportunities for development. We are a service-oriented knowledge organization characterized by competent employees, high care quality, willingness to develop, engagement, responsibility, and participation.

We offer you as an employee one wellness hour per week, flexible working hours, and the possibility of remote work when the operations allow. In addition, we offer wellness benefits, access to a gym in the region's facilities, and health inspirers who organize activities.

At the emergency clinic, you also have the privilege of setting your own preferred schedule before each scheduling period. We work continuously in two shifts with a 38.25-hour work week. Our working hours are 07:00–22:00.

Your responsibilities

At the emergency clinic, you as a healthcare administrator play a key role in the patient's care chain.

Your tasks will include, among other things:

• Documentation in the medical record system Cosmic
• Diagnosis classification
• Handling of referrals
• Other healthcare administrative tasks as they arise

We treat many specialties at the emergency clinic, which will give you broad competence within the profession.

The positions are one-year fixed-term contracts.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who are trained as a healthcare administrator, medical secretary, or doctor's secretary with good knowledge of the Swedish language as well as medical terminology.

You are meticulous, flexible, responsible, and have good interpersonal skills and enjoy providing service. To thrive with us, you should be able to take initiative and organize your work independently, but also have a good ability to collaborate in a team. You see opportunities and are positive towards development work. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
