Do you want to welcome a class of newly minted fourth graders? We are currently looking for a class teacher at Myrviken School for one of our two fourth-grade classes. This means that as a class teacher, you will work together with a colleague who is responsible for the other class, forming a true power duo that guides our newly arrived middle school students!

Bergs Municipality has nine primary schools, and Myrviken School consists of an after-school center, preschool class, and primary school grades 1–9. We currently have approximately 190 students, and the school is located in the heart of Myrviken, close to ski trails, Storsjön, a swimming pool, a school forest, and the Oviksfjällen mountains. The school's outdoor environment is truly special and invites play and plenty of fresh air – summer and winter alike!

Responsibilities

In the role of class teacher at Myrviken School, you will work together with your colleagues at the school to reach and strengthen each individual student in their knowledge development. In your work, you are responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating the teaching for our fourth-grade students. Together in your work team, you work towards the development, learning, and influence of all our students in the teaching process. As pedagogical staff in our operations, you create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that attracts all our students to curiosity and a desire to learn.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with a focus on the earlier years of primary school, qualified to teach Swedish and Social Studies (SO). If you have experience from pedagogical work, especially teaching in these grade levels, it is meritorious. Knowledge of national minority languages and/or knowledge in Swedish as a second language (SvA) is also meritorious. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You also have good knowledge of the school's steering documents as well as a genuine interest in children's and young people's learning and development.

Bergs Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we therefore consider it meritorious if you have knowledge of South Sami language and culture.

As a person, you are secure and have clear leadership skills. You respect people's different prerequisites and ability to assimilate new knowledge. We see that you are trustworthy and have a constructive approach towards both students, parents, and colleagues. You are positive and solution-focused, and you have an interest in developing the operations with the child at the center.
