About the role
DSV's transport network covers all of Sweden and Europe, meaning you will have colleagues and partners both locally and internationally. As a Traffic Controller, you will be part of a team responsible for planning and coordinating outgoing shipments for the district. You will act as the central hub for daily operations, responsible for coordinating and optimizing transport flows. You ensure that deliveries are made efficiently and on time, while always being ready to handle unforeseen events.
The role involves close collaboration with colleagues, carriers, and customers in a fast-paced environment where you play a prominent part in the cooperation. Your operational work will be characterized by high speed and high quality, where you are responsible for ensuring that transports reach their final destination at the agreed time. As a Traffic Controller, you face new challenges every day, where your problem-solving skills and quick judgment will be decisive. A positive attitude is expected in this varied daily routine.
The assignment will last for 6 months, with the intention of transitioning into a permanent position at DSV.
Responsibilities
This role involves being responsible for the operational planning and monitoring of transports. You work to ensure efficiency and solve problems that arise to maintain a high level of service. Among other things, you will:
- Plan and optimize routes
- Monitor traffic flows and handle deviations in real-time
- Receive inquiries from customers and subsequently plan and contact carriers and partners in the network
- Maintain good control over the market and costs
- Work with high quality and speed, taking responsibility for ensuring transports reach their final destination at the agreed time
- Perform administrative tasks continuously in our customer's support systems
We are looking for you who
- Have experience in similar tasks
- Are interested in logistics and traffic solutions
- Have a good ability to handle stressful situations in a solution-focused manner
- Ambitious and accustomed to working at a high pace where quick decisions are needed
- Are driven by a varied and changing daily routine that requires great flexibility and a willingness to learn new things and step up where needed
- Are a team player but also self-reliant and capable of making independent decisions to drive your work forward
- Can communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
