Social Pedagogue for Gläntan Unga Vuxna

Gläntan Unga Vuxna is a care chain for young adults between the ages of 18–30 dealing with addiction, criminal issues, and mental health challenges.

We operate two treatment facilities and supported housing:

• Unit Snösvad: Located just outside Malmköping. A treatment home exclusively for women aged 18–30 with addiction, criminal, and mental health issues. The staff on this unit are exclusively female.
• Unit Roxnäs: Located just outside Eskilstuna. A treatment home for young adults (both men and women) with the same target group.

On both units, we provide a modified twelve-step treatment program with specific elements of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). We also offer supported housing in the form of apartments where we provide living in independent apartments with staff support. A standby duty service is available around the clock for all units.

Your Role

As the number of female placements increases on our units, we are now looking for a female social pedagogue who can work flexibly within the organization. You will be part of a team with other social pedagogues and therapists, maintaining a holistic perspective on the individuals you are responsible for throughout their entire placement period.

You will support the individual during their entire stay. You will operate out of our office and assist wherever needed – at home, at the treatment home, with cooking, cleaning, accompanying them to various authorities, the gym, etc.

Your responsibilities include:

• Weekly conversations and motivational interviewing.
• Writing implementation plans, monthly reports, and discharge reports to the commissioning authority.
• Practical support and follow-up in daily life.

Qualifications

We are looking for a woman educated in behavioral sciences, such as a behavioral scientist, treatment pedagogue/social pedagogue, or another education deemed equivalent.

Merits include education and/or experience in:

• Twelve-step programs
• Conversational methods (MI), CBT, TMOz, Repulse, and relapse prevention
• ASI, ESL
• Meditation/mindfulness
• Criminality as a lifestyle

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. For this position, we will require you to present an extract from the police criminal record. A driver's license, category B, is a requirement.

Working hours vary. We have collective agreements, supervision, and wellness benefits.

Interviews will be conducted continuously, and we have scheduled time for interviews from week 32 onwards. The position is open starting September 1st. We apply a six-month probation period.
