Schedules are planned for afternoons/evenings and night shifts plus weekends, as well as day shifts during school holidays.

We are looking for engaged and secure personal assistants for an 8-year-old boy with a high need for supervision and some care needs. Due to his illness, he has difficult-to-treat epilepsy, intellectual disability, and autism. He requires 24/7 supervision and an assistant who can create a calm and secure daily life.

About the boy:

The boy is a happy and charming young man who loves bathing and listening to music. He communicates partly with words and partly with body language. Previously, his primary language was sign language as support, which is still a help for him. Therefore, experience with sign language as support is advantageous. His mood can change quickly, and it is important that you as an assistant have a calm and patient personality. Experience with low-affective handling and managing outbursts is advantageous.

About the role:

As an assistant, you need to be attentive and stay one step ahead to minimize risks and create a secure daily life. The work takes place primarily at home, which requires good cooperation skills, communication, and respectful treatment of both the boy and his family.

We would appreciate it if you had experience with personal assistance and epilepsy, but personal suitability is the most important thing.

Requirements and merits:

✔️ You are calm, secure, and responsive

✔️ You have good empathetic ability and willingness to collaborate

✔️ Experience with low-affective handling is advantageous

✔️ Experience with epilepsy and personal assistance is advantageous

✔️ Knowledge of sign language as support is a plus

✔️ Driver's license is a requirement as you will shuttle the client to and from school.
