Skållegården is aimed at children and young people between the ages of 12 and 16. The target group consists of girls and boys who may find themselves in unsuitable environments and exhibit norm-breaking behavior. This often occurs in combination with a neuropsychiatric function disorder (NPF), which can manifest as low impulse control, challenging behaviors, social isolation, deficits in social skills, relationship problems, or high school absenteeism.
Skållegården is located in a quiet rural area with a large garden for outdoor play. The activity is structured around individual, tailored schedules for each child and young person. We strive to be an organization that provides that little extra, where we are present with great care and create predictability and security in the young person's daily life.
The goal of treatment at Skållegården is to create conditions for positive development in mental and physical well-being. We work to create a holistic situation in balance for the child or young person, where aspects such as school, leisure time, and social relationships are included.
Methods and approaches in the activity:
The activity is grounded in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and clear pedagogy (Tydliggörande pedagogik).
Other methods and approaches include:
- MI (Motivational Interviewing and conversation for change)
- Handling crises and trauma
- AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
- LAB (Low-Affective Approach)
Your knowledge and experience:
We prefer that you have completed or are currently pursuing a two-year post-secondary education, such as a treatment pedagog, social pedagogue, behavioral scientist, or another equivalent education within social work. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of NPF, LAB, and clear pedagogy, or if you have experience working with children aged 12–16.
You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as documentation, journal notes, and monthly reports are an important part of the work. As a person, you are confident in yourself and able to convey this confidence to your surroundings. It is required that you have great patience and the ability to stay present even when children and young people test boundaries.
You are structured, responsible, and flexible, seeing opportunities instead of obstacles. We also value that you collaborate well with others, have a solution-focused approach, and enjoy activities, as we place great emphasis on training social interaction outside of the facility.
Great importance is placed on your personal qualities.
Your tasks involve participating in and collaborating with the child's/young person's stakeholders, such as school, social services, relatives, and healthcare. Together with the child or young person, you draw up and evaluate the implementation plan, which is based on the care plan we receive from social services. You drive the treatment process forward together with your colleagues and conduct assessments together with the child or young person. You also contribute to the treatment report that we send to social services every month.
Additionally, you are expected to have good computer skills. A B-category driver's license and extracts from the Police's suspicion and criminal record register are required.
