Job Description
As a Support Assistant, you work to provide individually adapted support to individuals covered by the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). Together with your colleagues, you create conditions for participation, independence, and good quality of life based on each individual's needs, abilities, and wishes.
The work involves supporting residents in daily activities, social interaction, leisure activities, and nursing care. You will also perform delegated health and medical care tasks, such as medication management and other common HSL (Health and Medical Services) tasks, based on delegation from licensed personnel. You work based on implementation plans, document according to current routines, and contribute to the development of the operations through a professional, pedagogical, and solution-focused approach.
Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends.
Qualifications
- Nursing education with a focus on disability or psychiatry, or alternatively education within habilitation.
- Class B driver's license.
- Experience working within LSS operations.
- Knowledge and experience of low-affective handling (calm and supportive interaction).
- Good ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
- Good computer skills, as documentation is an important part of the job.
Merits
- Education as a Support Pedagogue.
- Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), especially sign language as support.
- Experience with clarifying pedagogy and other pedagogical methods within functional support.
