About the workplace
We are looking for a Social Secretary (Socialsekreterare) for a fixed-term position within the authority division of the Adult Unit. Do you want to help develop the future social services? At the Adult Unit, you will have an important role in a business characterized by collaboration, commitment, and development.
The Adult Unit is part of the Individual and Family Care and is responsible for both authority enforcement and implementation. Within the authority division, we work with support and interventions for adults aged 18 and above. Here, there is a reception team and two investigation groups – one for young adults (18–25 years) and one for persons aged 26 and older.
In the authority enforcement, eight social secretaries and one social administrator work. The work is led by two senior social secretaries and a unit manager.
This position is an expansion of the Adult Unit's staffing – a step in adapting to the new Social Services Act's intentions for a more accessible and preventive social service.
The unit's service delivery part consists of a social medicine clinic, a crisis center focusing on domestic violence, therapists within "Housing First," a SIG coordinator, and a ViNR coordinator.
An exciting development work is underway, focusing on creating an even more cohesive, accessible, and understandable social service. We actively work to increase collaboration between the authority and service providers – all to offer our clients the best possible support.
We strive to be a competent and collaborative unit where team spirit is strong. By combining our different competencies and meeting clients together, we want to make social services more accessible and secure.
Responsibilities
Your main tasks consist of processing and investigating cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL) as well as the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU) and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM), with a focus on young adults and adults with substance abuse issues, social psychiatry, and domestic violence. Depending on the business needs, the assignment may also involve working as a social secretary in a reception function or within the service delivery part with therapeutic interventions.
The assignment includes following up on treatment interventions, making related decisions, and providing advice and support to clients. In the investigation work, we primarily use the methods ASI and FREDA.
We offer you a workplace with a reasonable workload and support via a social administrator who relieves you of administrative tasks, creating good conditions for professional and high-quality work. The social secretaries also have regular external supervision, methodological guidance every week, access to close management, the possibility of remote work, flexitime, and a fitness allowance. As a new employee, you will naturally receive your own tailored introduction.
We are looking for someone driven by collaboration and building solutions together with the individual and based on their needs. You have a creative ability and are engaged by development work. You value collaboration with both external and internal partners and have the ability to see the entire Individual and Family Care business as part of the success effort. You have a view of humanity that sees potential and development as an opportunity in the people we meet and see participation by the individual as a matter of course in the work we perform.
Qualifications
- We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker (socionom) or have another education that the employer considers equivalent.
- Experience in working with addiction, co-morbidity, domestic violence, authority enforcement, the documentation system Treserva, MI- and ASI-training is meritorious.
- You have full command of Swedish in speech and writing and have good knowledge of case processing and documentation as well as current legislation.
- You have a good ability to work independently and make assessments based on individual needs.
- Given the size of the work group, importance will be attached to your personal qualities. You are expected to have a good ability to collaborate both internally and externally.
- You are expected to have a good ability to see your own role in a politically governed organization and understand complex contexts.
Our value foundation is based on taking responsibility together and creating trust. We care that our employees in Ale are well and offer, where possible, flexible working hours, a fitness allowance, and favorable collective agreements.
