The Social and Employment Administration handles parts of the social services operations in Mölndal. The mission of the Children and Youth unit is to investigate cases involving children aged 0–18 and to follow up on interventions. The unit consists of an intake team, three investigation teams, and a security team. There are approximately 36 employees at the unit. We have diverse competencies and backgrounds, but what we share is our engagement and a strong child's perspective. We work closely together, are non-hierarchical, enjoy our work, and provide each other with strong collegial support.

Job Responsibilities

We work with investigations and follow-ups of interventions in a stable unit that has developed its working method, the Mölndal Model, over several years. Through Signs of Safety, we aim to start change processes together with the families, make safe risk and protective assessments, and involve children, parents, and their networks more actively to ensure safe conditions for children's upbringing. At the unit, employees work with different competencies and backgrounds, but what is common is a strong child's perspective and great commitment. We focus on further developing our operations to be able to do the best possible work for those we meet, the children and their parents.

Our first-level social secretaries work closely with the social secretaries, and there is always management present. We have external supervision, and as a new employee, you will receive a good introduction to get started in the work effectively.

Qualifications

The position requires a degree in social work and experience in psychosocial work with children, preferably with some form of further education in a relevant area. You should be comfortable in the authority role, well-versed in current legislation, and skilled in verbal and written communication. You have the ability to build good relationships with clients and collaboration partners. Experience with and a strong interest in Signs of Safety is meritorious. We expect you to have good knowledge and experience of working with children and young people in vulnerable life situations.

We are looking for you who are curious and courageous, appreciate collaboration, and are good at organizing your work. You can work independently but do not hesitate to ask for help if needed. A driver's license is required. Personal suitability is of great importance.
