Luleå is facing an exciting growth phase where both existing and new actors are investing heavily, especially within the green industrial transition. As a Building Permit Coordinator, you will play a significant role in this development and become an important part of the Environmental and Building Department's work. You will be a crucial link between businesses, citizens, and the municipality's civil servants.

Job Responsibilities

Your duties as a Building Permit Coordinator include, among other things:

• Act as a link between businesses, citizens, and the municipality's civil servants.
• Provide clear communication and pedagogical guidance regarding regulations and requirements in the early stages.
• Facilitate the construction process by helping actors get it right before a formal application is submitted.
• Coordinate and guide in complex building permit processes.
• Be accessible and provide fast, efficient service to businesses and citizens.
• Explain regulations in an understandable and pedagogical manner.
• Participate in case handling as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Post-secondary education, law degree, construction engineer, building permit handler, building inspector, project manager, responsible controller, or equivalent.
• Good communication skills and experience in customer dialogue.
• Solution-oriented with an understanding of society's requirements for construction processes.
• Ability to collaborate both internally within the municipality and externally with other authorities.
• Experience with municipal processes is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the Planning and Building Act is a plus.
