About the role and your responsibilities

Working within Social Psychiatry means that you, in a respectful manner, provide social and pedagogical support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. By creating safety and structure, you support the user in their recovery process.

As a night supervisor, you are responsible for creating and maintaining calm and safety during the night. You are available for support when needed, are attentive to changes in mood or behavior, and act steadily and quietly in anxious or crisis situations. The work is based on each user's individual implementation plan. You motivate activities and engagement, both within and outside the residence, to counteract isolation. You are a support for the users both at the residence and in supported living. We collaborate broadly with, for example, relatives, guardians/administrators, and care neighbors. Regular documentation is an important part of the assignment.

As a supervisor, you have support from a pedagogical coordinator, a unit administrator, and a dedicated work team where colleagues support and strengthen each other. There is also access to nurses and occupational therapists as important partners in daily life.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who have studied a University College (YH) program with a focus on social psychiatry, social pedagogy, assistant nurse with specialist competence in psychiatry, or other education that the employer deems relevant. If you also have training in recovery-oriented approaches or CAN assessment, it is an advantage.

You need to have knowledge of social documentation, and if you have previously worked in the Life Care IFO system, it is an advantage. For support in planning, we use the digital planning tool Welfare (formerly Epsilon). We would appreciate it if you had knowledge of and interest in digital working methods.

You have experience working within social psychiatry and good knowledge of the target group. Since Bardisangränd has a focus on 55+, experience in elderly care is also valuable. Several users need somatic care, for example, support with showering, toilet visits, and meals. As a person, you have good ability to collaborate, create structure, plan, and take responsibility. You are clear, humble, and have a respectful attitude where you see the equal value of all people.

In your work as a night supervisor in Social Psychiatry, your full-time equivalent is 34.33 hours. The position involves night work according to a rotating schedule with work every other weekend.

About the workplace

The Social Psychiatry business area comprises several activities such as housing support, employment, and work rehabilitation. The overall purpose is to increase the conditions for recovery. Bardisangränd's group home is a home for twelve users who are all older and have a severe intellectual disability. A total of 14 employees work as supervisors at the unit, of whom four work night shifts.

We are part of the Employment and Social Administration where approximately 600 employees provide support to the people of Lund who need social services. This involves supporting adults with harmful use and addiction or intellectual disabilities, those who need financial assistance, guardians, administrators, or support to study or work, as well as refugees.
