The staffing unit in Vara Municipality is now looking for hourly employees for preschools, schools, and leisure centers.

Your Role

Are you someone who appreciates variety, wants to develop, and seeks meaningful work? As a substitute teacher/staff member with us, we offer work within preschools, primary schools (grades F-6), and leisure centers. You will become an important part of our operations and contribute to creating a safe, educational, and stimulating environment for children and students. Regardless of which facility you work in, your task is to be a good role model, support, and guide them.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to try out different workplaces and tasks, as you may substitute at several of our preschools and schools.

Your Knowledge and Experience

We are looking for you who:

• Are at least 18 years old and wish to work with children and young people.
• Have experience and/or education in the field (meritorious but not a requirement).
• Master the Swedish language, both orally and in writing, at the level required by the tasks, as Swedish is the common working language at the workplaces.
• Treat children, colleagues, and guardians with respect.

A driver's license and access to a car are a big plus, as you may need to travel to different workplaces. We value flexibility and your ability to adapt to new environments and ways of working.

Personal suitability is crucial for us.

Note that you must be able to present the following before employment:

• An extract from the police criminal record for work in schools and preschools, which you can order here (#).
• A valid ID document (e.g., passport). A driver's license can be shown together with a personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, which is done in connection with the interview.

Your Future Workplace

The preschool and school activities consist of seven preschools and nine primary schools spread across seven locations around Vara Municipality. As an hourly employee through the Staffing Unit, you will work at the various facilities according to their needs.

We work in the booking system Medvind, where you add the days and times you can work. Bookings are made via SMS, so you need to have a mobile phone.
