At S:ta Maria Folk High School in Malmö, we are looking for a new colleague, an SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) teacher, for the second half of autumn 2026, starting in October. You must be qualified to teach Swedish as a Second Language (SVA). Like our current colleagues, we require you to be bilingual at minimum. We would preferably have Somali as your second language, or alternatively another language (currently, we are well covered in Arabic, Urdu, Persian, Serbo-Croatian, and Russian). The position is part-time and can extend until New Year's, with a possible opportunity for extension.
S:ta Maria is one of the few folk high schools that has been granted its own grading authority for SFI by the Swedish Schools Inspectorate since 2010. We have a very good collaboration with the City of Malmö.
The position involves teaching within the folk high school's SFI operations.
The position begins as a fixed-term employment in October until New Year's, and may potentially be extended based on application levels, and possibly converted into a permanent position depending on external political decisions or internal organizational changes.
We reserve the right to adjust based on political decisions and changes in the economic situation.
