Help shape the future of information management – we are looking for an E-Archivist
Digitalization is changing how authorities work – but also how information is preserved, made accessible, and used over time. At the Swedish Migration Agency, you will help develop the future of information management in an organization where legal certainty, long-term sustainability, and innovation go hand in hand.
We are now looking for an E-Archivist who wants to play a central role in developing our e-archive and contribute to creating sustainable solutions for the agency's digital information governance.
Here, you will work at the intersection of operations, information, and digitalization. You will become part of the Digitalization and Development Department (DUA), where we drive the development of the Swedish Migration Agency's processes and capabilities through innovation and digitalization. Through cohesive information management, we create the prerequisites for an efficient, legally secure, and sustainable operation.
About the job
As an E-Archivist, you have a key role in developing and ensuring the Swedish Migration Agency's long-term information management. You work both strategically and operationally with issues concerning preservation, disposal, information valuation, and digital archiving.
A central part of the assignment is to further develop the agency's e-archive and contribute to making archiving a natural part of the agency's digital development. You work closely with operations, development teams, architects, and other specialists to ensure that information can be handled, preserved, and made accessible in a legally secure and sustainable way throughout its entire lifecycle.
You belong to the Information Governance Unit, where you work together with other specialists within information governance.
Examples of tasks
- develop and manage the Swedish Migration Agency's e-archive and digital archiving processes,
- contribute archive expertise to digitalization and development initiatives,
- ensure that requirements for preservation, disposal, and information management are addressed when developing new systems and digital services,
- work with process-oriented information mapping and information valuation,
- provide support and advice to operations on issues concerning e-archiving, information management, and archives,
- produce and further develop governing documents, guidelines, and training materials,
- collaborate with operations, IT, and other specialist roles regarding information governance and information management,
- respond to consultations and surveys and participate in supervision by the National Archives of Sweden and other supervisory authorities.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who want to help develop the future of information management. You thrive in the borderland between archives, information, and digitalization and are motivated by finding solutions that work both today and in the long term.
You work in a structured and analytical manner and have an easy time seeing connections in complex information flows. You are communicative and have the ability to translate regulations into practical working methods in a pedagogical way. The role involves many contact points, which means you enjoy collaborating and building good relationships.
We are looking for someone who has
- an academic education in archival science, information science, or another education that the employer deems equivalent,
- good knowledge of the regulations governing public information management, such as the Archives Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Administrative Procedure Act,
- experience working with archive or information management,
- good ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish,
- Swedish citizenship.
It is meritorious if you have
- experience working with e-archives or digital archiving,
- experience with information governance or information management,
- experience with process-oriented information mapping and information valuation,
- experience with requirement specification or development work related to digital information management,
- experience working in the public sector.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability, where good cooperation skills, responsibility, and good judgment in complex operational and information environments are central.
In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and secrecy awareness.
