As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will become part of the technical organization where innovation, quality, and continuous improvement are at the forefront. You will be employed as a consultant by Academic Work and work on behalf of Nord-Lock. The assignment is long-term, and for the right person, there are good opportunities for further development within the company.

Responsibilities

In the role of Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work with the development and improvement of production equipment, tools, and technical solutions for Nord-Lock's manufacturing. You will be part of a cross-functional team together with project managers, product specialists, and automation engineers, driving the design work from idea to finished solution.

You will mainly:

• Work on machine and production projects from requirement specification to commissioning
• Design and develop machine components and production equipment
• Produce technical drawings and design documentation
• Participate in troubleshooting, analysis, and improvement work in production
• Provide technical support and guidance to operators and production teams
• Handle technical documentation and project-related materials
• Contribute innovative solutions in cross-functional project teams

We are looking for you who

• Have a university degree or civil engineer degree in mechanical engineering or another relevant technical education
• Have good knowledge of CAD
• Have a strong technical interest and enjoy solving complex problems
• Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, as this is required in daily work

It is an advantage if you have

• Previous experience in machine design
• Experience working in the manufacturing industry
