About the Role

At Medical Technology at Östersund Hospital, a total of 17 engineers and technicians work together in various technical groups. Our primary task is to ensure that the equipment is safe to use for patients and staff. We are looking for you who want to work with medical technology in an exciting and stimulating environment. The work involves ensuring that the hospital's equipment and/or systems function optimally and meet our high requirements for quality, safety, and accessibility.

Responsibilities

Examples of responsibilities include:

  • Receiving inspection of new medical technology equipment
  • Assisting in the installation and dismantling of medical technology equipment/systems on wards
  • Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Maintaining and updating technical documentation for medical technology equipment
  • Ensuring that all equipment meets current quality and safety standards
  • Participating in tenders and purchases of new equipment

We primarily work with case management, which means that we or the operations themselves register cases in the Medusa customer portal system.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is ambitious, meticulous, and wants to work with critical equipment in an exciting and stimulating environment. You are hands-on but can also handle administrative tasks. You have a genuine interest in technology and want to contribute to safe and secure care through advanced technical competence. You thrive in a role where you switch between problem-solving, planning, and customer contact, and where you make a real difference every day.

To succeed in the position, it is important that you are service-oriented, flexible, responsive, and have good teamwork skills. Good communication skills are an important tool, as well as being structured, organized, taking initiative, and taking responsibility within your area of work.

Academic Background: You have completed or are currently studying for an engineering degree, preferably as a university engineer or higher with a focus on medical technology or equivalent, or alternatively, a few years of work experience in a relevant field.

Language: You need to master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing.

Merits: It is meritorious if you have previous experience working within a hospital organization and have broader general technical competence. It is also important that you have the drive to make a difference in our main mission and thereby see your and the team's contribution as important and significant for healthcare.
