As an Electrical Designer, you will become part of AFRY's Hydro Nordics division, where you, together with your colleagues, contribute to the development of future hydropower. You will be part of an engaged and outward-looking team where collaboration, initiative-taking, and technical drive are in focus.

You will be employed as a consultant by Academic Work and work on behalf of AFRY. The assignment is long-term, and for the right person, there are good opportunities for further development within the company.

Responsibilities

In the role of Electrical Designer, you will work with electrical and control adaptations, as well as close to customers and clients, with a focus on building and developing long-term customer relationships.

You will among other things:

  • Perform adaptation designs for existing equipment in hydropower plants
  • Conduct preliminary studies and calculations
  • Produce technical descriptions and tender documents
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with clients to drive the business forward

We are looking for you who:

  • Have a post-secondary education in a relevant field
  • Have a few years of experience in electrical design within industry or plant engineering
  • Have experience in project work
  • Have good knowledge of design tools such as Elmaster, ELPROCAD, or equivalent
  • Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Hold a valid driver's license (Category B)

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience from the hydropower industry
  • Experience working as an electrician and/or industrial electrician
  • Experience performing technical specifications/descriptions in administrative tools such as EL-AMA
  • Experience with contract inspection and/or operational inspection
  • Experience working with RFG
  • Experience working with relay protection
