We are looking for a planning engineer specializing in detailed planning. We are seeking someone who wants to work independently and take personal responsibility, while maintaining a close and non-hierarchical collaboration with your colleagues. Together, you will be part of a larger department where many competencies work together.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a planning engineer for our Community Development Department. The department has just over 100 employees. Your closest colleague is our lead community planner. Within the department, you will work closest to the Technology Unit, but also the Business Unit.

As a planning engineer, you will work with plans and other tasks within physical planning. You will become an important part of our small planning team, which works project-oriented with both detailed and structural planning. Your main task involves creating plan maps, plan descriptions, and illustrations. The position includes driving planning projects from idea to finished plan. The tasks are based on collaboration with other professional groups, as well as communicating with residents, politicians, and authorities. Collaboration is central to us, and we work daily to help each other succeed in our shared mission.

We use MyCarta Plan for drawing, MyCarta as the mapping system, and NOVA as the case management system. We have the advantage of being a small municipality with fast decision-making processes and broad work areas, so additional tasks may arise depending on the volume of cases and the organization's priorities. A current area of focus is infrastructure issues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have post-secondary education in community planning, or a corresponding area that the employer considers equivalent. Furthermore, we require at least three years of experience in the preparation of detailed plans. Good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act and the Environmental Code is a requirement. You also have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We also see that you are a proficient user of drawing programs, preferably MyCarta Plan. A driver's license for passenger cars (Category B) is a requirement. We view it favorably if you have experience with infrastructure issues, such as traffic issues in the implementation phase.

Berg is a Sami administrative municipality, and we therefore consider it meritorious if you have knowledge of Southern Sami language and culture.

It is important that you can independently structure and prioritize your work, as this involves several parallel processes. To fit the role of planning engineer, you should thrive in an implementation role and be proactive. Collaboration skills are central, and you need to enjoy working together.
