Description of the Workplace

Skogshöjden Group Housing is part of the Functional Support business area within the Welfare sector. You will work closely with your colleagues, your unit manager, and other partners, collaborating with other operations within the business area.

Skogshöjden Group Housing provides housing for six individuals covered by the Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Disabled Persons (LSS). The overarching goal of this act is to enable individuals to live like everyone else without being limited by their disability. Here, together with your colleagues, you will work to offer the residents of Skogshöjden Group Housing the best possible living conditions.

Your Role

We help and support the residents with care measures based on their individual needs and wishes, according to approved assistance. The work is carried out based on established implementation plans and goals. The role includes providing support in all household tasks such as planning, personal hygiene, clothing care, laundry, cleaning, diet, cooking, shopping, finances, medication, as well as leisure and cultural activities. Other important tasks include developing and maintaining individual abilities and communication, as well as supporting the users' self-determination and personal integrity. We create and maintain conditions for quality of life, security, and self-determination.

Working hours are scheduled throughout all hours of the day and night and are adapted to the needs of the operation.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a Support Pedagogue/Support Assistant or have passed a Care and Nursing Program, or have other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. We would like you to have previous experience as a support assistant or have experience in care-related and/or pedagogical work. Experience with clarifying pedagogy is a plus. Since the work requires communication and documentation, we assume you are computer literate and proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. A driver's license is required.

As a person, you are good at conveying security, have a low-affective approach, and can handle complex expressions. You are stress-resistant, value collaboration, and display a professional approach to everyone in your work. You work from a holistic perspective and have the ability to plan and structure your work. Furthermore, you need to be able to make your own decisions while respecting decisions made by others and carrying out work on behalf of others.
