Do you have experience leading change? Mötesplats Mikaelsgården is an open meeting place for people living in homelessness and vulnerability in Uppsala, and we are now seeking a temporary Operations Manager. Mikaelsgården was in poor condition and has therefore been demolished. The new construction of Mikaelsgården has now begun and is expected to be completed in spring 2027. During the reconstruction, the operations are conducted in the adjacent Mikaelskyrkan (St. Michael's Church). We are therefore looking for you who are committed to and experienced with our target group, and who feel ready and equipped to lead and develop the operations and its staff during this journey of change.

About Mikaelsgården

Mikaelsgården is an open meeting place that offers support to adults living in homelessness, with substance abuse and addiction, mental illness, or other social vulnerability. Mikaelsgården offers the opportunity to use a computer, shower, have coffee, eat lunch, and be part of a secure community, but also provides support through individual conversations and contact with relatives. In the short term, the operations work to alleviate acute distress for people who visit. In the long term, the operations motivate guests to try to change their life situation. This is done by offering support in maintaining contact with their private and professional networks and linking them to social services, addiction care, psychiatry, and other healthcare.

Mikaelsgården is open on weekdays (excluding holidays) between 7:30 AM and 2:00 PM, serving both breakfast and lunch. Between 60 and 100 people visit Mikaelsgården every day. Five operations hosts and two counselors work together with the responsible Operations Manager at Mikaelsgården.
