Are you a nurse looking for meaningful work in a friendly and close-knit community surrounded by spectacular nature? We are recruiting two registered nurses for a municipality located on the outer coast of Western Norway, in a beautiful island community at the mouth of the Sognefjord. The exact location will be shared with selected candidates during the process due to confidentiality.

These are full-time permanent roles within a well-organized and supportive healthcare service. The positions include work in both the nursing home and home care services, with a broad range of responsibilities including long-term care, rehabilitation, palliative care, and short-term emergency ward duties. The home care service covers multiple islands, which means travel by boat as well as car can be part of the job. The municipality also has an emergency bed (KAD) and on-call doctor service, ensuring a varied and stimulating work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Authorization as a registered nurse in an EU or EEA country
  • Good communication skills in Norwegian or Swedish, or willingness to learn. For international candidates, a minimum B2 level is required. Free language training can be provided
  • Valid police clearance and health certificate, including tuberculosis and MRSA, before starting
  • Driving licence category B is an advantage for home visits
