About the Role
We are expanding our operations further by opening two new units in Malmö. This residential facility receives youth of varying ages with social issues. They often have one or more neuropsychiatric diagnoses, trauma, and anxiety issues, where severe self-harm and challenging behaviors may occur.
As a therapist, you are an important part of the youth's daily life. You build a trusting relationship and offer a safe and predictable environment where treatment is based on individual needs. The work is varied and includes everything from daily chores to conversations and targeted treatment interventions. You contribute to creating structure and long-term changes for youth with complex emotional issues.
Your workday starts in the morning and ends the next day with a handover to a colleague. The assignment is one-to-one, meaning you work independently on your ward and need to be confident in taking personal responsibility, even during sleeping on-call shifts. The workplace is located in a villa, where one youth is placed on the ground floor with their team, and another youth on the upper floor with theirs. You are part of a committed team with experienced, present managers. You also collaborate closely with cross-professional actors for guidance, support, and shared responsibility.
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least 2 years of post-secondary education in social work.
- Experience in therapeutic work with children and youth within residential care (HVB) or similar care forms.
- In-depth knowledge of self-destructive behaviors and long-term difficulties in relationships and emotional regulation.
- Documented experience with methods for emotional stability, crisis management, and safer relationship patterns.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
We value that you:
- Have a reflective and empathetic attitude.
- See the strengths behind the problems and can work solution-focused.
- Have patience and endurance in change processes.
- Have a good ability to handle intense emotional expressions and challenging situations with calm and professionalism.
We offer you:
- A thorough and structured introduction with scheduled follow-ups that give you security in the role.
- Competence development, supervision, and support in your professional assignment.
- A generous wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK/year.
- Present, well-educated, and experienced leaders who support you.
- A team with strong cohesion and broad competence.
- Opportunities to grow and develop within the organization.
