In Sorsele Municipality, we work together to create a school for all. We have three primary schools located in Ammarnäs, Blattnicksele, and Sorsele. We are now looking for a driven and engaged social pedagogue who wants to support students in all our school units.

Your Responsibilities

As a social pedagogue, you work to support students in need of extra adjustments, with a special focus on social and interactive situations. You help students create safety, clarity, and structure in the school day through adapted tools and a relationship-building approach. You are part of the municipality's central student health services and build trusting relationships with the students, acting as a link between student and teacher.

Your main workplace is Vindelälvsskolan in Sorsele, but the assignment also includes support for students at the school units in Ammarnäs and Blattnicksele. You work closely with a colleague who is also a social pedagogue. Supervisory interventions for school staff may be included, primarily in the form of support to teachers in specific classroom situations. Together with the school social team, you also work with students who have problematic school absenteeism.

You are knowledgeable, engaged, and creative, and you see collaboration with colleagues as a natural part of the work. You are goal-oriented, positive, and solution-focused, with the ability to adapt your working method based on varying needs. You are sensitive, present, and have a good ability to perceive students' signals. At the same time, you work professionally and responsibly, with high integrity and great respect for confidentiality and secrecy.

You easily create safe relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and would prefer that you enjoy working with students in the earlier school years.

Competence and Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a social pedagogue or have another pedagogical education, preferably supplemented with competence in areas such as NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and MI (Mental Illness). You have a strong student focus and always start from the students' needs and interests. You support the students' development both intellectually and socially.

You are creative, dare to think new thoughts, and are driven by developing students' strengths and talents. As a person, you are flexible, engaged, and responsible. You see opportunities rather than obstacles and find it easy to collaborate with others. Your approach is warm, clear, and calm, and you inspire trust in both students and colleagues.

You are structured and have the ability to maintain direction in your work. You can create safe and stimulating situations during lessons, on breaks, and during after-school care hours. You work actively to include more students in social contexts. Experience working with students in need of special support is considered meritorious. Education in NPF and MI is considered meritorious.

Duration and Working Hours

The position is a full-time temporary assignment (40 hours/week). One of our social pedagogues will be on leave around week 40, and we plan for you to work in parallel for two to three weeks. The temporary assignment runs from 2026-09-07 to 2027-06-17.
