Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for employees for an individualized special housing unit within the LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), where you will work with a customer with special needs. In the work, the staff base their approach on the individual's needs in daily life.
In this role, you will work closely and dedicatedly with a specific customer who challenges with their behavior. Your primary task is to create a safe, supportive, and professional environment for the customer. Meeting the customer with empathy and respect, regardless of their behavior, is of utmost importance. This also means maintaining a professional distance to avoid being personally affected by emotional reactions.
In the role of support assistant, you will among other things:
- Provide adapted support so that the customer can live as good and independent a life as possible at home and outside the home, based on needs and wishes.
- Manage implementation plans that form the basis for quality-assuring daily support and the customer's individual needs and wishes, through decided LSS decisions.
- Work in the residence with daily chores such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, etc.
- Perform administrative tasks such as drawing up implementation plans and documenting in the business system Treserva, as well as creating business routines, action plans, etc.
- Work extensively with pedagogy.

The position is scheduled for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is engaged and responsible in their assignment. You think new, are creative and solution-focused, and see opportunities instead of obstacles. You can work based on the customer's needs while simultaneously adhering to agreed-upon routines to ensure a safe and secure daily life for everyone. You have a very good ability to collaborate with different professions, colleagues, and networks.
To be considered for the position, you have:
- A completed upper secondary education in child and youth care, with a focus on social work, or are educated as a support assistant. Alternatively, education in behavioral science, other education deemed equivalent by the employer, or several years of experience working with challenging behaviors.
- Category B driver's license and driving experience.
The following is meritorious:
- Courses focusing on disabilities, education in low-affective handling, education in clarifying pedagogy, education in preventive and protective working methods when dealing with challenging behaviors involving threats and violence.

- A genuine interest in working with people with challenging behaviors.
- The ability to take initiative, be brave, and distinguish between the issue and the person.
- The ability to lead, motivate, and inspire others, helping them develop and feel well.
- The ability to create open dialogue and adapt your actions based on the situation.
- The ability to create trusting relationships and make others feel safe.
- The ability to work with other people, to listen, show empathy and respect. You are unpretentious and acknowledge and reward others' contributions.
- The ability to adapt to different situations and change your perspective and approach. You see opportunities in changes.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
A certificate of good conduct (police record extract) is required for this position. This will only be requested from final candidates in the last step of the recruitment process.
Selection and interviews take place continuously during the recruitment process, and the position may be filled during the process. We may apply a 6-month probationary period.
