Welcome to us

Bromma District Administration is one of the city's eleven districts. Bromma is located close to central Stockholm and by Lake Mälaren with its beautiful green nature. Elderly care operates with full-time as the norm, with the possibility to work part-time. Your main workplace will be at one unit, but the employment may involve working at different locations within Bromma's home care services, Elderly Care Department.

Bromma Home Care has three units – Blackeberg Home Care, Traneberg Home Care, and Västerled Home Care. We are currently looking for summer substitutes and hourly substitutes for the summer holidays during the period June–September.

Your role

As a nursing assistant, you will provide good care, social support, and service interventions to the elderly according to decisions made by assistance officers. You will help and support care recipients in their daily lives to promote their functional ability and assist with their social contacts. You must also follow the routines and regulations in place at the workplace.

Your skills and experience

• You are trained as a nursing assistant with a protected professional title or have equivalent education and experience, at least 1–3 years.
• You are experienced in working with mobile and digital platforms.
• You are experienced in documenting in social care journals.
• You are experienced in working independently and meticulously.

You have a good attitude towards others, are sensitive to their needs, and have good cooperation skills, working based on the operation's mission and requirements. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as communication is one of our most important tools alongside attitude.

We need you to be secure, stress-resistant, and personally mature. You show empathy in meetings with other people and have a genuine interest in working in this profession.

You act professionally based on your profession and role, by distinguishing between the personal and the professional.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities and good references.

Other information

We walk, cycle (regular and electric), and drive cars. We perform interventions during the day, evening, weekend, and night. Cycling experience is a requirement. A Category B driver's license is meritorious. The employer provides work clothes.

Work trials will be applied to applicants called for interviews.

To work for Stockholm City with elderly and adults with disabilities in their homes, you must show an extract from the Police's criminal record and suspicion register. You order this extract yourself, and it must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
