Do you want a meaningful and challenging job where you can make a difference for children and young people every day? We are looking for you who are a secure, experienced, and driven support pedagogue. Apply for the position with us and become an important part of our team!

Who are we?

Welcome to our children's and youth residences under section 9:8 of the LSS Act – a operation where you make a real difference every day.

We are now expanding with a new operation and are therefore looking for engaged support pedagogues who want to help shape our operations together with us.

We are recruiting for two units: Ånestadsgatan 156 in Smedby, an established operation, and Vägstumpen 1 in Svärtinge, a new unit starting in autumn 2026. You will belong to one of the units, where you have an important role in creating a strong and well-functioning work team where you supervise the work group in the work with our core mission. You will have a close colleague in your work as a support pedagogue as we have two highly responsible support pedagogues for each child and young person.

We have a total of seven residential places within our operations. In our operations, children and young people with different disabilities, backgrounds, and individual needs live. The operation has a high staff density, and we have round-the-clock staffing with both awake nights and sleeping on-call duties. With us, the children and young people are always at the center where we work purposefully to promote their independence and create a safe and adapted residential environment based on their individual needs and conditions.

Your tasks

As a support pedagogue with us, you will have a varied assignment with great responsibility in matters directed towards our children and young people, as well as an important role in supervising the work group towards set goals. You initiate, work with, and implement different areas and issues that promote the operation's quality and development work together with the unit manager. The work in the operation is based on the individual's implementation plan. Our goal is to work so that each individual becomes as independent and secure as possible to be able to develop according to their abilities. You provide individually tailored interventions and have a professional approach.

You form a team around the children and young people living here together with the unit manager and the rest of the staff group, which consists of support assistants and support pedagogues. As a support pedagogue with us, you have a key role in our team to create structure and clarity for the work regarding security and quality of life for our residents in their home. You have overall responsibility for social and pedagogical issues concerning our children and young people, where you in an analytical and clear way identify needs, plan, and carry out different types of change work.

You are part of the individual-oriented work, which means following our children and young people in their daily lives. The tasks include everything that occurs in a home environment where the individual's needs dictate. The work involves contact with many actors both internally and externally. This is important to maintain the holistic work around each individual as the children and young people live permanently with us.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are educated as a support pedagogue or who have other relevant education that the employer deems equivalent. To succeed in this position, we see that you have at least a few years of experience working in the role of a support pedagogue where you have had a supervisory responsibility.

Experience and knowledge of working with people with various types of challenging behavior, such as physical and verbal aggression, and self-harming behavior, are required. We would like you to have experience and knowledge of socially destructive behavior as it occurs within our target groups. We also see that you need to have experience with clarifying pedagogy, low-affective interaction, and neuropsychiatry. You have previous experience working with children and young people within LSS; it is positive if you have experience with PWS and NPF, as well as knowledge of trauma and crisis management.

It is desirable that you can sign language or symbols as support and/or are familiar with other forms of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).

You have a high level of structure and a holistic perspective, while also having a well-rooted approach related to user- and next-of-kin-related issues within the LSS target group. It is important that you can collaborate and work based on decisions made in the operation. That you take initiative and strive to create good relationships and achieve results, we consider to be important competencies.

Being a good role model for our children and young people as well as your colleagues is a matter of course for you. You are receptive and adapt your communication to the person you meet; this also means that you have high self-awareness where you are aware of your feelings and actions and how this affects your work situations.

As a person, you are empathetic and secure with a positive basic attitude and a high commitment to the target group. You see opportunities from a professional approach and want to contribute to developing the operation based on the existing goals.

You who apply have good computer skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

A B-driver's license is required.
