About the Role

As a senior calculation engineer, you are responsible for our most qualified calculations and act as a specialist in static analysis and sizing. You work closely with other structural designers and contribute your expertise throughout the entire design process – from technical investigations and control calculations to finished structural solutions.

A large part of the assignments involves extensions and renovations where existing steel and concrete structures need to be analyzed, sized, and adapted to new conditions. The projects place high demands on technical understanding, experience, and good knowledge of current regulations. The focus is on technology, problem-solving, and being the company's specialist in calculation and sizing.

In the role, you will among other things:

• Perform advanced static calculations and FEM analyses.
• Size structures in steel, concrete, and wood.
• Conduct technical investigations and control calculations of existing structures.
• Provide technical support to the company's structural designers.
• Contribute to quality assurance and development of the company's calculation work.
• Review and quality assure calculations from other structural designers.

You will be the company's leading specialist in static calculations and serve as a technical sounding board for other structural designers. You will work in our modern office in the building we designed and built ourselves in Strängnäs. Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a solid background in structural engineering and many years of experience with qualified structural assignments. You thrive with technically complex issues, have a structured way of working, and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.

You should have:

• A Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Road and Water or equivalent) is meritorious. Crucial is documented expertise in static calculations and sizing.
• At least 10–15 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience as a structural engineer, calculation specialist, senior designer, or in a similar specialist role.
• Very good competence in static calculations and FEM analysis.
• Experience in sizing in steel, concrete, and wood.
• Experience with existing structures, renovation projects, and technical investigations.
• Good familiarity with FEM-Design or equivalent calculation programs.
