Our partner GKN Aerospace is facing exciting challenges with next-generation rocket nozzles, an accelerating Additive Manufacturing (AM) journey, and a growing share of welded products.
In the role of Welding Engineer, you will join a wonderful, tightly-knit team working on several exciting projects. You will handle a variety of tasks, ranging from daily production support to the development of new products and technologies.
Examples of responsibilities:
- Develop, improve, and qualify processes by working on welding parameter development, automation of welding processes, and fixture design.
- Provide specialist knowledge in various types of development projects.
- Monitor and analyze process capability.
- Review drawing documentation for production.
- Participate in investments and the implementation of new technology.
- Assess and review the manufacturability of products.
- Contribute to the creation of training materials and train, instruct, and certify welding operators.
- Introduce new methods, equipment, instructions, and procedures within welding.
- Continuously improve welding processes and existing working methods.
The assignment requires you to undergo a security interview and be approved according to current regulations. The assignment also entails citizenship requirements.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a technical university degree, a vocational education in production technology, or other relevant education or experience. You have knowledge and experience of the welding methods LBW, GTAW, EBW, PAW, and RW. Previous experience and knowledge of Additive Manufacturing is considered a merit.
We primarily focus on your personality and believe that you are a curious and proactive person who enjoys working in a varied environment. You are engaged, motivated, creative, and flexible, and you focus on seeing opportunities in the challenges the work presents.
You are fluent in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
