Båstad Municipality is facing several major investment and societal development projects in the coming years. To strengthen the economic support for the operations, we are now looking for a controller with a focus on investments, development, and property economics.
As a controller, you will become part of the central finance department and take on a key role in the municipality's financial management. You will be responsible for budgeting, monitoring, and analysis of investment and development projects, and will function as a specialist in property economic matters.
This is a new role that offers you great opportunities to influence and develop working methods, processes, and routines in the area. You will work closely with project managers, the property department, and the municipal leadership, contributing with analyses, calculations, forecasts, and decision support for both strategic and operational decisions.
You will also be involved in the development of the municipality's property organization and work with economic support and monitoring in parts of the municipal board's operations.
With us, you will have a developmental role where you combine analysis, operationally close support, and development work – while simultaneously contributing to the municipality's long-term development and future investments.

Responsibilities
As a controller, you work with qualified financial management within investments, properties, and development. The role involves both operational support to the operations and strategic development work to strengthen the municipality's financial management and create good decision support.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Being responsible for the budget, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of the municipality's investment projects.
- Working with the budget and monitoring of development activities in close collaboration with the finance department's accounting function.
- Providing economic support to the property department through budget work, calculations, analyses, and key figures.
- Collaborating with project managers, managers, operations, and leadership on economic matters.
- Producing analyses, forecasts, and decision support for both operational and strategic decisions.
- Contributing to the development of routines, models, and processes within investment, development, and property economics.
- Participating in monitoring and analysis within parts of the municipal board's other operations.
Qualifications
To succeed in the role, we see that you:
- Have a university degree in economics.
- Have good analytical skills and a structured way of working.
- Are proactive, driven, and able to work both independently and together with others.
- Have the ability to communicate economic information in a pedagogical and accessible manner.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience with investment monitoring and/or property economics, preferably within the public sector.
- Experience with development accounting.
As a person, you are analytical, meticulous, and have an interest in understanding connections and developing working methods. You take responsibility, dare to drive issues forward, and see opportunities in change. At the same time, you are unpretentious, receptive, and skilled at creating and developing good relationships and collaborations. Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start: As soon as possible and according to agreement.
