Fagersta Stainless is one of the world's leading manufacturers of stainless steel wire rod and drawn wire. Our headquarters and production are located in Fagersta, Sweden. In our rolling mill, approximately 50,000 tons of wire rod are produced annually, of which about 10,000 tons are further processed into drawn wire. We are currently looking for a Shift Mechanic for Central Maintenance.

About the Role

As a Shift Mechanic, you will primarily work with emergency and preventive maintenance, as well as some planned maintenance tasks. You will work both independently and collaboratively with other maintenance personnel across all areas of the company. You will also be involved in our 5S work, daily management, and creating new routines and methods to continuously improve our operations.

About You

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in mechanical maintenance within the manufacturing industry, preferably from the steel industry.

Qualifications that are considered an advantage include:

• Hydraulics/pneumatics
• Welding (arc welding/MIG/MAG)
• Machining (turning/milling)
• Pumps

A valid B-class driver's license is required. A valid license for forklifts and overhead cranes, as well as certification for Hot Work, is advantageous but not mandatory.

To feel comfortable in the role of a Shift Mechanic with us, you need to be responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive, and you should thrive in situations where you interact with other people. Reporting is done through shift handovers and to the maintenance coordinator.

About the Employment
