Our client, Stamo in Västerås, is looking for an operator specializing in tailstock turning and CNC machining.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who enjoys variety, craftsmanship, and technology. With us, you will have a versatile role with a strong focus on one-off production. You will primarily work at the tailstock lathes, but over time, you will also program and operate both CNC lathes and CNC milling machines. The role requires you to work independently, but you will become an integral part of a close-knit and cohesive production team.

• Turn shafts on tailstock lathes based on drawings and specifications.
• Set up, rig, program, and operate both CNC lathes and CNC milling machines.
• Interpret technical drawings and maintain full control over tolerances.
• Perform rigorous quality control to ensure all products leaving our facility meet the highest standards.
• Use the MPS system Monitor for daily planning and reporting.
• Care for daily machine maintenance and contribute to a safe, clean, and pleasant workshop environment by following safety regulations and using the correct equipment.

Working hours are daytime, Monday–Friday.

Location: Västerås

Qualifications

As a person, you are interested in learning and developing, and you are self-reliant in your tasks. You enjoy varied work assignments and work in a structured and goal-oriented manner to achieve good results.

You can be at the beginning of your career or have extensive experience, but always with the desire to develop. To succeed in this role, we see that you have the following:

• An education in industrial technology or alternatively, experience in turning.
• Good skills in reading and understanding technical drawings.
• The right attitude and strong drive.
• Fluent Swedish skills in both speech and writing.
• A valid Swedish Class B driver's license.

Meritorious:

• Good knowledge of metrology/measuring technology.
• Overhead crane and forklift licenses.
