Within the main assignment 'Society', which includes Ängelholm Library, we work long-term and agilely to shape a sustainable future for everyone who wants to live and develop in Ängelholm Municipality.
Ängelholm Library consists of a newly renovated city library, six local libraries, and a book bus. Nearly 30 people work in the operations. The library's organization is based on target groups and consists of four teams focusing on children, young people, and adults, as well as a support team that provides service to the entire operation.
Ängelholm Library is part of the collaboration 'Bibliotek Familjen Helsingborg', where eleven municipalities work together on a common library system, web platform, and digital library, among other things.

Job Responsibilities
One of our librarians in the children's team will be on leave for a period, and we are looking for a substitute for the children's team.
The children's team works with the target group aged 0–12 years. The role involves many contact points that require high social skills when interacting with children and their parents. You will work with the entire target group, with a special focus on younger children and their adults.
Your main responsibilities include working with the reading and language development of young children, including serving as a contact person and collaborating with other operations with a similar focus, such as Child Health Services (BVC), open preschools, and schools. The assignment also includes being an inspiring promoter of reading through our reading promotion projects for the 0–12 age group, as well as program activities, networking, and outreach work.
Evening and weekend shifts at the library's information desk are included in the role. The work also covers other common tasks at a public library.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a university education in Information and Library Science or another education that the employer considers equivalent.
You have experience working with children and the ability to drive operations for this group in accordance with the mandate of the Library Act. You need to be able to collaborate on joint projects within the children's team.
As a person, you are engaged, creative, and meticulous. You have the ability to organize and thrive in an outward-facing operation. You put the visitor at the center and have good literary knowledge that allows you to inspire others to read.
You have the ability to plan and structure your work so that the operation meets the goals of the library and the municipality.
An extract from the criminal record is required.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, ending: 2027-03-31.
