Bladins is now seeking a librarian for a fixed-term position during the academic year 2026–2027. The position is split between Bladins Gymnasium (30%) and Bladins Grundskola (20%).
As a librarian at Bladins, you are expected to:
- Contribute to developing the school library as a pedagogical resource.
- Inspire reading and promote students' language development and love for reading.
- Support students and staff in information searching, source criticism, and media and information literacy (MIL).
- Be an active part of the schools' development work and collaborate with teachers, student welfare, and other staff.
Job Description
In this role, you are responsible for the daily operations of the school libraries and work closely with school leadership, teachers, and students to strengthen the library's role in teaching. You plan and implement reading-promoting activities, support students in their learning, and contribute expertise in information searching, source criticism, and digital information management. You work with students of various ages and adapt your approach based on their needs and the schools' operations.
The position is shared between Bladins Grundskola and Bladins Gymnasium, giving you the opportunity to work with students of different ages and contribute to developing the school library's pedagogical activities throughout the entire educational chain.
Bladins continues to develop its school libraries as a natural part of teaching and the schools' pedagogical work. This position is therefore an important initiative to strengthen students' learning and love for reading. The employment is a fixed-term part-time position at 50% during the academic year 2026–2027. For the right person, there are good opportunities for extension and potentially increased working hours in line with the development of operations and future needs.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a degree in Library and Information Science.
- Has experience working in libraries, preferably within the school sector.
- Has a strong interest in reading promotion and the learning of children and young people.
- Is a good communicator and relationship builder towards students, colleagues, and guardians.
- Has good digital competence and solid knowledge of information searching, source criticism, and media and information literacy.
- Is independent, structured, and has good ability to plan and prioritize your work.
Personal suitability is given great weight.
