About the Unit

FMTIS plays a central role in the Swedish Armed Forces' command system and contributes to creating the prerequisites for robust, secure, and accessible technical infrastructure. The operations are characterized by high demands on operational reliability, safety awareness, technical competence, and the ability to solve tasks in both daily operations and readiness.

The area of responsibility covers Karlskrona, Eksjö, Hästveda, Linköping, Revinge, and Ronneby.

 

About the Position

As the appointed Electrical Installer for Regulatory Compliance, you will support the unit manager and line organization in ensuring that electrical installation work within FMTIS GE Syd is carried out in accordance with current regulations, established procedures, and the unit's self-control program.

You will work under the professional leadership and coordination of the FMTIS Electrical Safety Coordinator and play a key role in follow-up, support to registered personnel, and inspections prior to commissioning.

The work involves acting as an expert within the electrical installation operations and contributing to translating requirements for regulatory compliance, competence, documentation, and control into practically functioning working methods.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support the unit manager and line organization in matters concerning electrical installation work and regulatory compliance
  • Contribute to ensuring that personnel performing electrical installation work are registered in the self-control program
  • Support the assessment that personnel participating in electrical installation work have sufficient knowledge and skills for current tasks
  • Follow up that electrical installation work is performed according to current regulations, standards, internal directives, and established procedures
  • Report status, deviations, and improvement needs to the unit management and relevant electrical safety functions
  • Contribute to experience feedback, improvement work, and the development of the unit's systematic electrical safety work
  • As the appointed electrical installer, also be eligible to be appointed as the electrical safety leader for own electrical works.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Valid and unblemished authorization AL as an electrical installer, issued by the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority (Elsäkerhetsverket)
  • Documented experience of electrical installation work in low-voltage installations
  • Good knowledge of electrical safety legislation, the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority's regulations, and requirements for self-control programs
  • Knowledge of SS-EN 50110-1 and working methods in the event of electrical hazards
  • Experience with pre-commissioning inspections and documentation of electrical installation work
  • Good ability to work with routines, follow-up, and technical documentation
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • Category B driver's license

You are clear and pedagogical in your communication and have the ability to build trust with managers, technical personnel, and other relevant functions.

You have high integrity, good collaboration skills, and a solution-oriented approach. You can identify deficiencies, suggest measures, and contribute to the systematic and long-term sustainable development of the operations.

Meritorious

  • Full authorization A
  • Previous experience in the role of electrical installer for regulatory compliance
  • Experience working with self-control programs for electrical installation work
  • Experience from the Swedish Armed Forces, other authorities, critical infrastructure, technical management, industry, or defense-related operations
  • Experience in supporting, mentoring, or training technical personnel
  • Experience with backup power, field electrical installations, technical command systems, or installations with high demands on operational reliability

 

We offer you

Other

Employment type: Permanent position starting with a 6-month probationary period for those not already employed by the Swedish Armed Forces.

Work location: Ronneby or Hästveda, travel within the country occurs.

Employment level: Full-time. The position is civilian.
