We are looking for an Engagement Developer who wants to help strengthen young people's opportunities to influence society in Värmland.
As an Engagement Developer, you are responsible for creating engagement, building relationships, and implementing activities that strengthen young people's influence and participation. You work closely with young people, but also together with decision-makers, civil servants, and other partners who wish to develop their work regarding youth influence.
About the Project
Youth Hub Värmland is a development project where Youth 2030 Movement, together with Region Värmland and other regional and local actors, explores how the public sector can become better at including young people in decision-making and societal development. Through workshops, dialogues, tests, and co-creation with young people, the project develops new working methods and structures that make youth influence possible. The role is based at Regionens Hus in Karlstad and involves travel within Värmland.
About Youth 2030 Movement
We are a small organization where everyone contributes to the association's overall work as needed. We support each other and participate in joint activities.
Youth 2030 Movement is a non-profit association that brings together democracy activists, young leaders, child rights campaigners, and allied adults. We are convinced that a power shift is needed in Sweden – that democracy becomes bigger and stronger if young people get more influence over societal development.
We have our sights set on 2030. Until then, we fight for a lowered voting age and for changing the perception of young people among decision-makers in municipalities, regions, and authorities. We do this by challenging, supporting, and contributing new working methods, analyses, and proven methods for inclusion.
We will not give up until every young person in Sweden has the power to influence society and their own lives. Together, we tear down barriers between young people and power.
About the Role
As an Engagement Developer, you are responsible for creating engagement, building relationships, and implementing activities that strengthen young people's influence and participation. You work closely with young people, but also together with decision-makers, civil servants, and other partners who wish to develop their work regarding youth influence.
An important part of the role is to recruit and support young participants, lead workshops and dialogues, and create meetings where young people and adults can meet and learn from each other. You use Youth 2030 Movement's methods and working approaches and contribute to developing them together with colleagues and partners.
The role suits you if you enjoy building relationships, making people feel included, and turning ideas into practical activities. You need to be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Since Youth Hub Värmland is a regional project, the role involves travel within Värmland. We place great value on being on-site and meeting young people where they are.

- Experience working with the public sector and civil society.
- Experience with democracy, participation, or influence issues.
- Local knowledge of Värmland.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You do not need a specific education – we are primarily interested in what you have done, what you are passionate about, and how you meet other people.
Personal Qualities
This is how we would like you to be as a person:
- You create engagement and enjoy meeting people. You are good at making people feel welcome, included, and motivated to contribute. You are curious about others, have an easy time building trust, and enjoy seeing people grow and develop.
- You make things happen and enjoy finding solutions. You thrive on going from idea to action, take charge of what needs to be done, and solve practical issues along the way. You have an easy time getting an overview, seeing the next step, and creating structure in your work.
