Your new workplace
The Reception Group is often people's first contact with the social services. We process incoming reports and make preliminary assessments. The unit also handles acute situations, which may involve home visits in urgent family situations or immediate support for adults with substance abuse issues. The Reception Unit processes and exercises authority according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and the Care of Abusers of Alcohol and Drugs Act (LVM), and is responsible for receiving reports concerning both children and adults. The Family and Adult Reception team belongs to the Child Track within the Individual and Labour Market Administration. Here, 13 social secretaries, a coordinator, an administrator, and a unit manager work. We apply the 6.2 working hours model, and remote work opportunities are available. The work is varied and stimulating, and we are now looking for another social secretary for daytime hours to expand our team. As a social secretary in the Reception Group, you will belong to a secure and knowledgeable team where we care about each other and see different skills as an asset and strength. We offer regular supervision in social law and process guidance for your professional development.
How you contribute as a social secretary
As a social secretary, you are responsible for processing incoming reports and applications concerning both children and adults. The Reception Group makes preliminary assessments, and after an investigation has begun, the case is forwarded to the investigation team. The work also involves acute placements of children and adults, statements to various authorities, and placements for victims of violence during on-call hours. Within the Reception Group, the municipality's Social Emergency Service is staffed by social secretaries working according to day, evening, and weekend schedules. In case of illness or leave, it is desirable that the entire Reception Group can assist with staffing the emergency service. Therefore, there is an opportunity to work evening hours on occasional occasions if needed.
Your skills and experience
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work (Social Work degree)
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation within the field of social services
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Class B driver's license
Merits:
- Good IT skills and experience with digital documentation
- Experience working within social services
- Experience with exercising public authority
- Further education or courses in areas such as SoL, LVU, or administrative law
- Experience with the case management systems Treserva and/or Lifecare
To thrive in the role of social secretary, you have an empathetic and respectful approach. You are meticulous and structured in your working method and have the ability to handle periods of high workload in an sometimes unpredictable job. You work independently, take responsibility for your cases, and have good collaboration skills when meeting with colleagues and partners. You have good judgment, can make well-founded decisions, and recognize the importance of legally secure documentation.

Good to know
Salary: Monthly/hourly wage. Individual and differentiated salary setting is applied.
Terms: Salary supplements beyond the monthly wage follow the applicable collective agreement. Central collective agreements can be found on the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions website, www.skr.se
