What you can expect from the role
As the Deputy Store Manager, you are the Store Manager's right hand. You have personnel responsibility for the store's employees and overall responsibility for daily operations. You coach and lead employees through your presence in the store, ensuring that all customers receive optimal service and leave Biltema with a positive experience. Through engaging and inspiring leadership, you develop Department Managers and other staff. You monitor sales and provide creative ideas to showcase our wide range of products.
You are well-versed in store operations and hold ultimate responsibility for the store when the Store Manager is not on site. This includes having ultimate responsibility for the work environment and ensuring, together with other employees, that you maintain a safe workplace. You are involved in planning and create schedules based on activities and events. You are happy to share your expertise and act as a sounding board for both the Store Manager and other employees.
As Deputy Store Manager, you are part of the store's management team and report to the Store Manager.
This is a permanent position starting with a 6-month probation period. The role is full-time, 40 hours/week.

We are looking for someone who is results-oriented and has a high level of service awareness. As a person, you have the ability to motivate, coach, and inspire staff through your pedagogical communication and leadership style. You easily create a good atmosphere and always ensure your employees are ready to perform at their best. By viewing the entire sales cycle from planning and receiving goods to marketing and sales, you always strive to be solution-oriented and creative in any situation that may arise.
We expect you to have at least 2-3 years of experience in similar responsible roles within retail. This means you feel confident in your leadership and are comfortable with the agreements and regulations governing retail.
