At the Habilitation Center Södertälje, we work with young people and adults with disabilities. We work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists, and speech therapists. We serve residents in Salem, Södertälje, and Nykvarn municipalities.
Through advice, support, and treatment, we create the conditions for patients to function in the best possible way in their daily lives. We specialize in intellectual disability (ID), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and mobility impairment (MI).
We are now looking for an occupational therapist for our ID/MI team and an occupational therapist for our ASD team.
Job Responsibilities
As an occupational therapist with us, you will assess and evaluate patients' abilities and needs, plan therapeutic interventions, carry them out, and issue certificates when necessary. For example, you will provide advice, support, information, and knowledge about the disability to patients and their relatives. Together with patients and relatives, you will develop strategies and, if necessary, test, prescribe, and follow up on individually adapted assistive devices.
The habilitation offers interventions both individually and in groups, physically at the clinic, digitally, over the phone, if necessary in the patient's home environment, or at another suitable location. The work is performed individually but also together with team colleagues, relatives, or networks.
Collaborating with other healthcare providers, municipal activities, or authorities is part of the work as our patients may have needs where collaboration is required.

Qualifications
You have a great interest in people, are engaged in supporting people to a valuable life, and value the equal worth of all. You are interested in the development of both your clinical work and our joint work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
You are a licensed occupational therapist, and it is an advantage if you have experience from habilitation and/or people within our target group, as well as from the prescription process.
We require that you have a B driving license.
About the Position and SLSO
The position is filled subject to the condition that it does not need to be taken for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.
For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO), a register check is applied before the decision on employment. Employees who will have patient contact undergo a new employment examination through occupational health services before employment. In addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required.
