About the position

The Pediatric Regional Care Unit (BRA) in Huddinge is Sweden's only care unit with specific pediatric competence in hematology, nephrology, as well as gastroenterology and hepatology. Here, we treat children and young people from all over Sweden and sometimes from our Nordic neighboring countries with both acute and chronic conditions.

We treat, among others, children undergoing liver, kidney, or stem cell transplantation, as well as patients with acute liver failure or the need for dialysis. Lengths of stay vary from a few days to several months, offering the opportunity to follow patients through different stages of care and build long-term relationships with both patients and families.

The unit is newly built and designed to eventually accommodate up to 16 patients. Currently, we have five care beds in operation and will gradually expand the operations as the team grows.

Here, you work in an interdisciplinary team where the nurse plays a central role in care and coordination around the patient. If needed, we also assist other pediatric flows, which contributes to varied work and close collaboration between different units.

Our approach is characterized by a child's perspective, participation, and continuity. There are many opportunities for development, shaped by both the unit's needs and your own interests and experiences.

We are currently looking for nurses for both day and night shifts. Please specify in your application which shift you are interested in.

We are looking for you who

  • are flexible and adapt easily to varying tasks, patient groups, and changing conditions
  • communicate clearly, listen attentively, and professionally with patients, relatives, and colleagues
  • enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team and contribute to good cooperation
  • wish to develop within highly specialized pediatric care and have a commitment to the patient's well-being
  • wish to develop within highly specialized pediatric care and contribute your experience to our continued development of the unit.
